if you know me you know that i am a huge fan of goodwill.. fan is not the right word... sorry... maybe more of a regular... in any event.. love goodwill or any thrift shop for that matter.....
i think this is a wonderful add to promote and encourage people to head to their local goodwill for their halloween costume..... the miller group out of la put this together and i think it is clever.... and that rhymes..

if this is what our future has instore... i think i am going to be ok with it.... andrea and i (welll.. more andrea doing the work.. haha.. love you!) have done our very best to fill our beautiful balcony with greenery... and it looks great..... getting into our 'winter' now in savannah has slowed it down a bit but things are still looking nice....
anyho.. a little info on the above building from designboom....
'the EDITT tower, singapore has been designed by architects T R hamzah & yeang. the building was created to revitalize an urban, non organic site where the natural ecosystem was completely destroyed. designed for retail exhibition and auditorium use the building features planted facades and vegetated terraces. other ecological features of the building is that it has a rainwater collection system where over 55% of grey water can be reused and sewage waste can be recycled to create compost and bio gas fuel. through a system of solar panels the EDITT tower will achieve an energy self sufficiency of 40%.'

look at that amazing woodwork.... not really my thing by not bad for a party house in mexico right???? hmm... what is that guy in all black doing there??

wow.... what a beautiful pool... i imagine it just comes alive at night

and why is there private zoo with many of the most exotic animals in the world??? this place sounds too good to be true....

well.... i guess it was.... a drug cartel is mexico owned the place and yup..... the fun ended for the team..... sorry guys........
check out the ninja stare the guy with the gun has...... it must be so amazing to be a photographer for a group like the telegraph...
go read the story.. it is crazy
fun and simple.... does not get much better...... sort of reminds me of when i was a kid and use to keep my spare change in split tennis balls....

that really is one intimidating car.... and yes.. the designers from audi deserve a little pat on the back... but to be honest... the photo makes it so impressive.....
so........

thank you scott chu for taking these wonderful photos... it must be so fun to chase these amazing machines around and snap photos.... i wonder what he likes to drive?

i sure wish i had a pair of these when i got hit (at least as far as the story goes.....) well.. actually.. i dont really see myself wearing anything like this.. and i am sure they would want something out of this world for them... but good idea from Billy May

i like pbr and i love bikes.... so it all makes sense if you ask me....

this beautiful machine was put out by traitor cycles.... no cans involved.. just a detailed paint job... they are asking quite a lot for the bike and i am sure there will be more fools like this (no offence.. sorry.. you just look like one) riding this around.. so i think i will prob just stick to a few in my backpack for now.....
in any event... great frame and fun colab!

mr adler is very good at what he does....
so is grace..
'yesterday i was talking with a friend about new york city newspapers. it seems as though everyone has a favorite- my good friends love the post and i’m a fierce times loyalist but lately i’ve been spending more time checking out the new york observer. and now that they’ve published a new issue of their semi-annual observer home, i’m hooked. the observer home is an 80 page magazine that gets inserted into this week’s paper and is full of gorgeous homes and articles on great local talent. if you’re in city you can pick up a copy this week, or click here to check out the issue online. the images above and below are jonathan adler’s designs for the wegman family. [thanks, nancy!]'
oh... i also like to comment from time to time.. haha
'heyoo..
first off... i think it is wonderful to get a few negative comments floating around on here... some some reason it makes it all a little more fun...
i wish so badly mr adler would get on here and throw some words at people.. haha.. so fun...
anyho..
i like the dining room/study he put together... i know we knock him for doing the 'same thing' but if you saw this room you would KNOW that he did it.. and lets face it.. he is very good at what he does..
love the look.. keep it up boss!

favorite quote...
'...Maxwell crew on Tuesday. A productive meeting. Where are we on t-shirts and posters? I remember seeing several of your designs for a t-shirt, which looked good. Eh? The reason...'
love the use of 'eh'.... as a fellow canadian i am allowed to say that
well... i would love to see the tshirts and wish you all the best of luck in whatever you do!!!

i introduce to the world...

franko/frankie/frankenstein
welll.. we got this little black cat at a shelter here in savannah.. and his name there was frankenstein... but it all seems to fit... but he is just so soft and full of cuddles.. haha.. i sound like andrea here!! but he is just great to have around the house.. a little bit of fun.. well actaully a lot of fun when he gets all crazy and just bolts around everywhere and then just sa quickly is up on you sleeping and purring.. love the affection!!
anyho.. andrea and i need to step out photo game up... i think it is just about time to step up to a slr.... need to save some pennies!!!!

here we have some amazing work from jason hackenwerth.... the detail. effort.. and skill it must take to put together are out of this world..... i hope he is not blowing these up with his own lungs! haha... he has a few videos of his work up on the site

is that a keith harring on the wall?? not sure.. but i think so.... one thing i do know is that i am just loving the huge colour in all of these photos!!!
well.. just checking out a little tv right now... and there is a commercial from old spice that ll cool j is on.... very well done.. haha... it really is funny.. so watch above.. and then if you find it at all entertaining.. watch below... its funny as well..
and i am watching cb4.... there are so many people in this movie (seriously.. watch it and the whole time you will say.. of look.. that is.. who is it?.. oh.. its charlie murphy!! .. ha) and i have been enjoying it and laughing my ass off.. all scenes/parts of it.... the clothing/stereotypes/interiors... there are just so many lines that are so perfect... so outrageous

ok.. i am sorry for not having a photo up of our new kitty... he is just so purfect (yeah.. you saw that purr.. ha.. sorry).... he is just so crazy and running as fast as he can around the house.. but as soon as you sit down he is right up on you/next to you purring and sleeping... so affectionate which i love
anyho.. picture the above (all black.. sleek.. quite) being driven by a mad man who like to cuddle.. sort of like that?? ha... photo comes up soon!

here is just a beautiful example of true craft.... andrea has really opened my eyes of how amazing fibers/textiles/surface design is and how it can be applied in any industry... so why not wine lables???

i know a little more than the average person about wine.. not boasting... just have worked in that imdustry on and off for a while not (not currently.. and honestly.. miss it a little... A LITTLE.. haha)... anyho.. i am still a sucker for a great label at a good price point.. and this would def catch my eye....

the talented individual who created this is ivana martinovic... check out the site... big projects!!
i love how well the people at logan wines compare the embroidery to the wine....
'Each of the labels in the range feature the delicate embroidery work of a very talented lady. The different flowers, fruits and branches depicted in the embroidery illustrate the character of each individual wine. Each piece of embroidery took skill, patience and a little love to make, just like the wines inside each bottle.'
perfect right??

beautiful details!!!!

logan wines wow.... this site has really got their stuff together.. such a pleasure to browse.. go go

love how amazingly 'doodleish' these are!! ... i have def filled many a page with roads and clouds... so it is wonderful to see them done by someone else!! and that someone else is jonathan puckey... maybe our extreme endless road drawing skills come from the name we share? ha
Monday, October 6

please check out the site and show some love

love how clean this cabinet looks.. perfect for a childs room.. i picture some fun midcentury elephants on it or something.. lots of big primary colours.. haha.. easy jon.. no kids yet!

to be completely honest... i THINK that most of the above with is from vallee... haha.. lets see how good my eye is!
just had to add it.. another of my fav artists... pablo alfieri.. many similarities but both have such a unique and wonderful style.... beautiful!
is there an official term for a 'organizational artist'... collage/collection... not sure.

well... there is big news in the house...
we got a cat!! he is so fun to have in the house.... i will tell more with a photo very soon.....
i was on fixedgeargallery just doing a few clicks and came over the above bike... whick i like.. something about the big slicks that gets me... and it reminded me of a bike which i have been obsessed with for quite some time... not sure when i first saw it .. but at least a few years ago now...
anyho.. followed a few links and sure enough this guy created the original and simlar bike... here a few photos and have a perfect evening...

oh.. ps.. we are going for a bike ride and it is a complete bonus... we were planning on stayin in for the night to help the little guy get comfortable but he is just oving life.. i think he had realized that he will be living the good life.... lucky cat!! moving him from the tiny cage at the animal adoption place to a beautiful enviroment with andrea and i.... again.. lucky cat!!!
his name at the shelter was frankie... or frankenstein... we like it.. why not.. but magiver works as well... i think after a few days we will have an offical name unvailing...
