Marcio Kogan put together.. well not sure if he actually put it together with HIS hands.. but just a perfect example of 'minimalisim' if you ask me... and yup.. it does appeal to me! when i see the photos of the empty house dont you just want to close your eyes and fill it with all of your own belongings! yup

lets move to brazil!

for many more photos/info/betterness please go directly to archdaily .. do not pass go... do not collect $200

slamming a hammer and making a little caveman like noise/action when cooling food is fun... so why not make some lemonaide...... now.. if you know me a little you know i actually worked a lemonaide stand here in savannah.... and i mean it.... you have never tasted better...

yeah yeah... we have all seen our fair share of container projects.. but why not keep up on them?? as the story goes.... this house is put together with 5 containers by the Lawrence Group and then assembled on-site in just 4 hours and 47 minutes.. amazing.. there is a really interesting comment conversation going on about the project... prices.. detailsdetails.. go take a peek on inhabitat... i mean.. you may as well right?
i think when i actually do something worth while on this site i will have a little 'sign in' func or something so it reads more like a story.. sort of start where you left off last.... i would enjoy that when i go to my regular sitess..... anyone want to help me with it.. please get in touch.. merci!

Under The Same Roof
18 September - 8 November 2008
www.thearamgallery.org

OKAY Studio is a collective of individual designers sharing a bit more then a workspace. Each has broken their own ground, with some also working for leading design studios while others work on consultancy projects. But they share the drive to generate self-initiated projects, produce work with their own clients and exhibit in galleries and museums internationally. This will be the first curated exhibition of the group.
Coming from different countries, they all met while studying at the Royal College of Art Design Products course, and have continued working alongside each other, sharing resources and sometimes collaborating on client work and exhibitions.
Under The Same Roof will be a unique insight into the way this group has set up their way of working in London.
The exhibition will transform the Aram Gallery into a series of ‘rooms’ that will represent the working spaces of each of the members of the studio, reflecting on how they operate successfully as colleagues rather than as a branded consultancy. Collectively, the exhibition will explore how, just as in London, many different approaches to life and a creative existence are possible under the same roof offering insight into the ambient ongoing process of being a designer in London today.
The ‘roof’, or ceiling, of the gallery will be a unique installation of drawings, sketch models, workshop jigs, failed projects and other studio ephemera that form each of the members daily studio existence.
Under The Same Roof will show the work of: Shay Alkalay, Tomas Alonso, Jordi Canudas, Mathias Hahn, Peter Marigold, Yael Mer, Oscar Narud, Hiroko Shiratori and Jorre van Ast.
The Aram Gallery is delighted to invite these nine emerging professionals to exhibit new and yet unseen work and promises to deliver an exciting addition to the Gallery’s award-winning programme from previous years (Stage by Jaime Hayon, 2006 London Design Festival Icon Magazine Trail, Best In Show).

my mums husband.. my 'step-dad'.. i sort of hate that term.. for some reason it seems derogitory.. lets just go with GREAT GUY jeff.. that works.. honestly.. you do not meet people nicer than this guy...
anyho.. he is a woodsman.. i guess i could come up with some other terms silviculture engenieere, property/land manager.. haha.. but woodsman works.. again.. finding things that work.. we were talking on the phone just the other day (mum and jeff live in halifax) and i was saying how its amazing the access to materials he has and how popular 'wood' and more specifically natural wood products have become.. its exciting.. so i am going to do my best and posting up fun pieces i come accross....

""""7-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has confirmed that he will return to professional cycling in 2009 to compete in the Tour de France, really ?!I am happy to announce that after talking with my children, my family and my closest friends, I have decided to return to professional cycling in order to raise awareness of the global cancer burden. This year alone, nearly eight million people will die of cancer worldwide. Millions more will suffer in isolation, victims not only of the disease but of social stigma. After the passage of Proposition 15 in Texas, a $3 billion investment in the fight against cancer which is helping to make this disease part of the national dialogue in America, it's now time to address cancer on a global level. Lance Armstrong""""
exciting right? i mean the guy is just amazing.. 37 years old and still kicking strong.. on top of all of his battles.. good luck lance!! (yeah.. we are on a 1st name basis) i hope you can pull in the 8th title!
check out his video if you want to hear it from him

ok.. so here we have brenden (left) and moi (right) after completing our tent on a very rainy day... dont think it really did its job but wow was it fun to put together and act the hero in the rain.. haha.. serious beard brenDEN...
he lives in brussles and teaches at a international school over there.. i know! look out kids! we had a chat the other day and he was telling me how he has been watching cool runnings over and over and what a wonderful movie it was.. i had not watched it in some time so i had to check it out.. great pick as usual brenden..
i really think he just liked the idea of some black guys in tight pants and such.. or maybe b/c it was voted one of the top 5 tear-jerker sports films.. maybe.

love the face!

brenden.. dont get too excited here!!

yup.. that is the big j. candy

the figures look like all the little southern figures around here in the junk stores with the black faces.. i dont think this poster was put into production..

i have never tried to bobslead but i am sure it is crazy.. maybe that is why brenden loves the movie so much.. dont give up the dream!!! haha.. miss you boss!

hey mr danny kuo.... your a smart guy!! andrea have this little corner over by our bed that we store things both in the corner and up on the half wall above.. yeah.. bad explaination but we are always talking about storage/ladder solutions to our prob.. and this really is a wonderful design!!
thanks danny!

sabz is a interior design shop in paris... i was browsing on the yatzer site and this is one of costas's finds that the 5.5 designer group put together... go to the 5.5 site... some wonderful projects floating around on there!!!
i just love the exterior and how it so perfectly blends into the interior... well done.
andrea and i have a little collage wall going in our place... well maye little is not the right word.. more like 20ft tall by about 15ft wide.... yeah.. we are lucky kids!! i will get some photos soon but these tear drop shape leaves that seem to be pinned away to float off the wall are some serious inspiration!!

cooking show..

haha.. yup.. show idea.... boy do i have a good story about an experience my friend dan had.. i am willing to tell.. just ask

now before i get started.. i just want you to know that i by no means see myself being the host of this show.. maybe someone like jamie oliver if he was interested and into doing something like this... or really any of those big name power house chefs.. actually.. yes.. this is an idea for all those amazing chefs out there.. ok.. maybe an idea for the fohboh community.. a concept

MAKE IT INTERACTIVE....

great.. there is a lady on food network right now that does this... email/edu... i must admit i have not watched the show so i need to check it out.. but happy to see the emphasis on interaction with the ________ (host in this case)

but lets put people really in touch.. lets give them control..

so say we pick ... __( enter someone you would love to see prep a meal) and then this person puts up a grocery list.. and then on a set date he does his little piece.. and you really do cook with him.....

'but hey!! i dont have a tv in my kitchen'.. good.. lets keep it that way.. but i think you should have a computer close by... if you dont now you will soon...

when it all boils down you actually get to cook with them.. edu, interactive, enjoyable, entertaining.. let me get my thesaurus to add a few more....

the online community is so strong.. so supportive.. snifsnif.. ha.. but i think this sort of concept being applied to an already strong and active community could have amazing potential..

'yes it could'

yes... i would LOVE to cook a meal with sir charles.. man that would be fun!!!
oh.. and the top photo is dan... look at that million dollar smile!! haha.. love you buddy!

my goodness i just love going on ffffound and getting full of ideas.... thanks!
ps- thoes multicultural crayons from crayola are great!
