in a historical and facinating maze like building that used to be (and still is?) the alexander keiths brewlery (local beer.. sorry.. religion). it is a hustle and busstle experience that has amazing (and i really do mean amazing.. not hot dog type) foods (both local & more exotic) as well as an overwhelming amount (in a very good way) of local produce.. local delis/bakeries/ crafters/ artists/entertainers... and all of their friends & family... plus most other people who happen to be in the city.. i would love to have a figure of roughly how many people glide through there on a sat. morn (THE ONLY TIME IT IS OPEN).. big bang.. its fun.
ok... so this gets us to... the plan for the 'new' market .. the
seaport market .. i am happy that
lydon and lynch (hey andy!) got the job.. i think they are definitally capable to make an impact..
my only problem with it is that why fix what is not broke? i love the tradition of the sat morn only market.. and i think a ot of pther people do as well.. thye plan on being open all the time and letting people rent out tables as they want.. daily.. seasons.. etc.. sounds alright.. i would like to more about it i guess.. just would hate to see it die out.. but i think that really is impossible.
which gets us up to....
the 'savannah farmers market'.. have gone to the past 2 (and i think possibly the first 2?).. they are just getting on thier feet.. seems to be more like a job fair and less like a farmers market.. more produce/products/food... sell first.. promote 2nd..
thanks for the photo
