We were at art basel in miami last week and it was an interesting experience. I love going to it one day dressed like a bit of a bum and how you just get looked down on and then getting a little 'dressed nice' and how you are suddenly a potential buyer. I was interested in the supermarket and as soon as i saw it i was excited to get in there and hopefully buy some non $4 water.... but as we have all heard.. just the packaging.... but it immediately made me think how amaing it would beto set up a little cafe or an ACTUAL little market selling goodies and little design pieces throughout.. maybe .75 consumable product (food/drink) and .25 great little found objects/design peices.. something like that.. all with a goal of fun and affordability... sometimes the fun gets lost in a huge space like that and it becomes a little to high scale... dont like that feel all the time.. laughter and fun for me.
I liked this idea so much that i started to apply it to more of the 'big event' type functions.. detriot auto show.. just picture restoring a beautiful fire truck or something but outfitting it with cooking tools to make amazing food for all the guests!
so... if you.. like me want to make some people smile a little more at some of these events.. get in touch! i will do the work in the kitchen.. or on the truck.. ha
